The COMPETT consortium contains a relatively small number of members, but the members skills are complementary and chosen specifically to reach a successful conclusion to the project. The five institutions from three European countries represent government agencies, research, higher education and business.
The partners constitute a strong combination with complementary skills. The work packages have been designed to exploit the interdisciplinary approach by e.g. economists, engineers, and social scientists.
All of the scientific partners are internationally recognized in their subject area and have already achieved significant national and international research funding. They have also published extensively in the field of transport and vehicle research.
For each work package there is one Work Package Leader defined. The Work Package Leader is responsible for the management and execution of all tasks in her/his work package and solves critical issues at the WP level.
The daily organisational and administrative matters are carried out by the coordinator,
Erik Figenbaum of TOI, supported by a small team of experienced TOI employees and administrative staff.
The project coordinator reports to and liaises with ERA-NET, and aids the partners in reporting to their national funding agencies. The coordinator will lead the Management Committee. He is responsible for the overall quality of the work done in the project and will have the ultimate responsibility for the COMPETT project.
